I wasn't someone who intended to build a living in this space, so I didn't have everything planned dead before I started. My biggest hesitations were the juristic and method of accounting sides of doing business online. Messing up either one of those can be ruinous to a business, so I had to make sure I took those into consideration.

I talked to my Certified public accountant back home (I live in Inexperient Jersey) and she provided some helpful advice. I also began to keep saintly records of my revenue and expenses in Wave, which is a unbound accounting software. And, acknowledge your boundaries. For example, I assume't work with clients WHO aren't on WordPress. I just wear't have the time to learn another content management system. You want to accept the right clients, not just any client.

#7 If you could get back in time, what would you change that would help you get where you are (immediately) faster?

I spent a good deal of meter along the design of my web site – things like color palettes, fonts, logos, and even the construction itself. I chose the Genesis Framework with a Restored 316 child theme, and while I do it it, I had no coding noesis, and so IT took me a lot of clock time to start my act together.
